November 15, 2012 is National Rural Health Day! NOSORH, State Offices of Rural Health and our partners invite you to join us November 11-17 as we showcase Rural America and highlight the efforts of SORHs and others in addressing the unique healthcare needs of rural communities. More importantly, we want you to be part of the celebration!

Rural communities are places where neighbors work together to benefit the greater good. They are places where innovation, creativity and collaboration shine. They are places with stories that are testimony to the entrepreneurial spirit of rural citizens.

Nearly 59.5 million Americans live in rural and frontier communities. These individuals possess a selfless, community-minded, "can do" spirit that has helped our country thrive; they also have unique healthcare needs that should not be overlooked and need to be addressed.
